February RnL meeting
Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Good to go, Thanks...nice videos, looks as though everyone buzzed up that one in 2nd or 3rd? It desn't seem to leaf spring friendly there?

Hell's Gate isn't leaf spring friendly, but I have been spotted up better lines!! I have been up it, ever year for the last 7 years.......I have been on lines that I may have lifted the passenger tire 6 inches or less(sometimes not at all)! Oh well...it ended well.

Aw, no, Uncle Zip.... We treat Jeeping and running as two entirely different sports!

Great pics Jess! I thought my back end was feeling pretty light going down Wipe Out Hill. You can really see it in the picture of Mark going down it above. There is air under his rear passenger tire, and not because he's flexed, but because he is so light in the rear...

Nice pictures. I didn't know you two were hiking up in the snow. Was there a campground up there? Moab is so much different than the northwest, but just as beautiful.

Thanks! Yeah, we couldn't help but check out the beautiful La Sal Mountains. Really beautiful country and we would have loved to hike around in them more, but the snow sorta limited us. We hadn't thought to bring snow gear (haha, I guess we were thinking we would be Jeeping all week...silly us) and so we found ourselves sinking in the snow pretty quickly, but we went as far as we could before our shoes got soaked and our bare legs got beat up from falling through crunchy, hard snow! Also, the trails were kinda hard to follow because I guess not many snow hike around there and there was also very little in terms of trail markers! Still really enjoyed it up there though and glad we checked it out!
Yep, there were a couple campgrounds up there that we also attempted to check out, however, they were still gated and closed until later in the season (probably depending on when the snow melts). I am thinking they would be cool though as they were supposed to be near lakes.
