Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

I was thinking about tagging along with you guys if you didn't mind. I only have one other buddy that is willing to travel that way from the eatonville area. Is there any place you guys are meeting up, so we could follow you up there. He has only been there a hand full of times a while back.

Sure, come on up and join us.
We are meeting at 8:00am for breakfast at Petosa's Restaurant in Monroe (it will be on the left side of SR 2, several blocks past the Fred Meyer, pretty easy to spot).
http://local.yahoo.com/info-22200340-petosa-s-of-monroe-monroe
Or for those that don't want to meet for breakfast, we will be in the main parking lot (first one you come to on the left side) at Reiter at 9:00am.
Directions to Reiter:
From Monroe stay on SR-2 East towards Stevens Pass
Turn Left on Reiter Rd. near Mile Post 30
At 0.8 mile, take right fork to continue on Reiter Rd.
At 1 mile, turn left into lower parking area

Sorry to hear that your passenger got in an accident... Hope he/she is okay. Thanks for the offer of lending your extra seat, I'm just waiting for Young to find out if he has one or not. I will let you know as soon as I find out. Thanks again!

Re: Reiter run - Feb. 21?
I dont think I can make it on this run. I need to get my steering box supports on, and saturday is the only day I have to do it. Its creaking and popping so I think I need to get this done soon before it breaks off again. The last thing I would want is to break on this run and cause a traffic jam on the trail
Re: Reiter run - Feb. 21?
Right on, no problem.
Oh and my passenger was supposed to be Jackie but she was rear ended last week and her neck is still sore.

Re: Reiter run - Feb. 21?
I got SCREWED on shipping. The guy who got the frame supports for me off ebay just went on vacation for a week...well he wont be there tomorrow when it arrives at his house to receive it, so I have to wait till he gets back. So I wont even be able to work on it saturday now either. My frame has little tiny stress cracks around the bolts to the steering box, so I really need to do these things before I go out again. I'm glad it didnt break at Tahuya this past weekend. Good thing I got a back up car because I dont want it to break again in some parking lot hahaha
P.S. Young, in renton today, i was so confused as to why a cop would be waiving to me lol...usually they are frowning at my jeep and pulling me over

Re: Reiter run - Feb. 21?
I finally had some time lasnight to work on videos. I went back out to reiter on the 14th to check out the bypass for the offcamber section. The bypass is doable but there is one part where the river runs thru that was dug out to the point that to get thru it you have to bury your bumper and I think it would be worse for anyone less then 5" of lift. I ran into two rigs on the Izzy trail who had to turn around because of the amount of snow on Izzy. I am hoping it has melted by then. So my suggestion would be to just do the regular Izzy trail with an offshoot to Trail of Doom.
watch these in HD if you can.
This is what the may creek river bed looks like now. As I said previously, you have to cross farther downstream.

Crossing May creek - 98 TJ, 4" lift, 33" Tires https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ysAFgQoHUE
First small creek crossing. Downhill Offcamber which I wanted to try and bypass. -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oQ-ofbQO6k
Second Small creek crossing - The floods actually moved rocks down enough to make it more stable.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq11Lh4lan0
Third small creek crossing. Probably the most dangerous, if the logs give away you are in for a messy drop.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jPDTWu0gdY
Fourth small creek crossing - Just a ditch now, no real problems here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46mgHz5BKNE
Where we turned around - The video does not show how "interesting" this will be to go past. Its well before the log bridge and probably will take time to become passable for most of us. The guy talking in the video is mistaken that he went over this with no problem in his 2" JK. Both of us thought it was a different location. If I am leading at this point, I will move over and let Justin give it a try

Trail of doom videos. I like this trail and plan on doing it any time I attempt izzy.
