February RnL meeting
Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Insanity Winter Challenge
Insanity Fab has an annual Winter Challenge that Homey & I were invited to participate in this year. What a fantastic event to be able to be part of, very well organized by forum leaders & families and a ton of fun!
A quick rundown on how events happen, a week before the challenge date, we received our starting position readomly drawn (17th of 30), we're lined up in order after a drivers meeting to go over rules. A we actually led for a moment but just a moment as things happen very quickly. We ended up finishing 10th (??? s/b 9th), so we're guaranteed a 20st position next year, we learned a lot this year. One thing we don't need is a jeep & driver, Homey was pretty damn impressive, had me hanging on a few times =D. More to follow at next months meeting...to be continued

Re: Insanity Winter Challenge
I'm just glad Homey didn't have a video camera when I was pulling the winch rope Hardest 125' I've had to do in a while...crotch deep snow, crawling & rolling to get to the only tree w/in miles it seemed I definitely need to do some training for next year
Having one challenge under our belt will go a long ways for next years event & we have a year to prepare

Looks like fun. Zip doing a low crawl on the snow i bet was pretty entertaining. 46" tires on the buggy seems a little unfair.

Competition looks like it could get a lot tougher next year, the words getting out about this challenge. Especially since a big tired buggy was involved w/ the win, folks from Canada are now signing up for a chane
