Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Naches/Manastash August 2010
We just got home from an awesome two days of wheeling. Did the following trails, all strung together: Naches, Kaner, Manastash, Shoestring, Tipover, Manastash Ridge, String, and then back over the Naches Pass on FR70. Right at 100 miles round trip from where we parked the trailers at the end of the pavement on FR70 (about half of that being forest roads, half being trails). Spent the night at an elk hunting camp along the Shoestring trail near Tripod Flats.
We had one minor carnage event - Zip's rear tire carrier broke off. We strapped it to his roll cage and kept on going! And Young had a bit of excitement on Ardvaark hill, when he got a bit off the line and ended up with a tire several feet off the ground. Had to use his winch to bring the nose back down before continuing.
Here are some pics:

Nice pictures, I think Zip could have fit a little more gear on that rack I've driven up that hill a half a dozen times and I didn"t know it was called Ardvaark hill Or maybe I just don't remember

Thanks! I think it was the weight of Jon's gear that put it over the limit.
Maybe the sign at the bottom of the hill is new...

Looks like you had a good time. Young wouldn't have had any trouble on that hill if he'd air down.

Actually the problem was that he stalled, and rolled back a bit, and where he rolled back to was a really bad spot to be.

I was down to ten pounds. I actually had plenty of traction the whole weekend. Just backed down the wrong line once I stalled. Thanks for taking the photo Bill and Robin!

Looks like you guys had a good time. We passed you on the trail. I was in the group with the Sublime Green YJ on the right of you and I was on the left of you right before you went up Aardvark Hill I believe.
That purple Flatty is TITS! Here is our trip report from the group I was with. http://www.pnwjeep.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23212

Oh yeah, easily more gear, I believe it was Jon's lead underwear that did it in though...at least the welds held up, just need a stronger spindle, or a re-design. No idea either where that name came from, another PNW4x4 non-user choice I suppose
