February RnL meeting
Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Re: Snow run Feb 2nd
There's a group going up Saturday, I'll know more when they return on how the conditions are? Whether anyone has gotten to the bowl is my thoughts, excellent area to Play Snow is very deep
Avalanche warnings are at a high right now, the snow conditions will also dictate the run to this area

Re: Snow run Feb 2nd
The group that went up Tinkham road today encountered a tree over the road. Some had to backtrack to I-90 and go around from the eastern direction. Once on the road heading south & up hill they struggled with traction, only went about another mile before turning around.
I'll be watching the weather these next few weeks to see if the conditions get better, we need COLD. Their snow was slushy & wet today

Re: Snow run Feb 2nd
I agree about Elbe, just throwing it out as a fix. The folks that went up Tinkham today said it was very wet, so it must of been raining quite a bit. Snow level went up to 3500' I believe, hopefully it'll clear & get cold here again soon?
I want to get one more run in before I go into winter maintenance mode

Re: Snow run Feb 2nd
Jon,
Thinking about another date other than the 2nd? Read on the NWW BBS that the conditions were slightly better at Evans this weekend? I'm not sure about the Greenwater area, don't the snow mobilers monopolize that area this time of year? Freezing level is going up to 5000' this week...

Re: Snow run Feb 2nd
I thought I heard it was gonna drop to around 500 feet again Monday night (MAYBE). It will change alot by then so I say we plan on it till the week before and if it looks like it will be bad then we hit Evens instead. Im about ready to hit something soon. I havent had a cigarette since the Monday meeting and I need to take out my aggression on something, so it might as well be my Jeep

Pick a date & firm it up if you would, I need to ensure that I get that date off from work

Sorry, I guess it sounded like I meant this coming Sat., but I was actually just referring to the Sat. that you are planning the run on. My bad Anyway, I work every other Sat. and it just so happens that this and the last Jeep run fall on the one I work.
