I wish you had been selling this about 8 months ago when I bought mine - I'd have bought yours instead of the POS I ended up with...

Bill, what's wrong with your trailer, wasn't it new?

Yeah, it was new. The frame bent the first time I pulled the Jeep up on it. I have intermittent problems with the brakes sticking that I have been unable to track down (it's an electrical problem somewhere). Other than that, it's a fine trailer. Rolling Eyes

Gabe's looks a lot nicer...

Where did the frame bend? Is is something that can be straightened & reinforced? or have you already done this? I believe your trailer is similiar to mine, 4" x 2" C channel frame?

Sorry to hear about your issues, did you go back to the dealer you bought it at?

I haven't gone back - I actually bought direct from the manufacturer, who is located south of Tacoma, so it is very inconvenient to take it in. The bend is just behind the rear axle - basically it now has a bow downward from that point of about an inch. I've been looking at similar trailers, and most of them have the same bend. Bottom line is a Jeep is too heavy to drive straight onto the back of a trailer without stabilizer jacks on the back of the trailer unless the trailer is beefier than 4" C channel. My plan is to just add some stabilizer jacks and not worry about it. The bow isn't enough to notice unless you are looking for it. I've been using jackstands in the meantime for laoding and unloading the Jeep.

What bugs me is that the manufacturer convinced me I didn't need stabilizer jacks - I was going to order it with them, and he talked me out of them.

Also the ramps that came with my trailer were way to wimpy for a Jeep, and are pretty badly bent. I need to replace them with some stronger ones.

Bill, can you move our trailer discussion to another post? We don't want to mess up the trailer sale, I'm wanting to discuss this further with you and get some pics if possible?
