Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

OBD 11 scanner with ABS
Got an ABS light on the 2002 F350, several hundred miles after a brake job. Here is what I have checked.....fuse, fluid level, 3 sensors are new (unsure if new=good???), and unsure how to check hydraulic control module? So if anyone has a OBD 11 with ABS diagnoser....that might lead me in the right direction. Or anyone got ideas?????? Let me know

Re: OBD 11 scanner with ABS
If no one has one, stop by an O'Rielly's, I've heard they have OBD's that you can utilize in the parking lot to acquire the code?
My son's girlfriend went to Les Schwab for a diagnostic for the 4runner starter also, free

Orielly's has the same scanner I own....there loaner scanner as mine does DTC's but not programed for diagnosing ABS stuff. They sell a $240 OBD 11 plus ABS scanner but will not let me plug it into my car without buying it! What is up with that????? Schwab sounds promising.....thanks for the info!

Re: OBD 11 scanner with ABS
BTW Jon, my abs light came on on the trip to Moab back in May, right after a brake job as well. By the time we got to Moab the light was out, and has never come back on.
Re: OBD 11 scanner with ABS
FYI.....Autozone loans a scanner with OBD 11/ABS code reading ability. All my ABS codes are triggered from the left front speed sensor? I reset codes with scanner (or you can also disconnect the batteries for 30 minutes) to clear codes. The ABS light stayed off for several minutes while driving but is now back on...... The front left hub assembly was just replaced and has a new sensor installed in it! (The right front hub was replaced several months ago without issue!) So from what I have read.......if you fix the sensor problem the light will go off and stay off! Fuse is good, sensor is new, and brakes work great!!!!!! ANY IDEAS??????

Re: OBD 11 scanner with ABS
Sometimes new parts are not always good working parts. I just replaced the starter in my jeep and it sounds worse than the one I just took out. Can you move the sensor to the other side and see if the code moves to the other side?

Re: OBD 11 scanner with ABS
Thanks for the ideas. I finally found how to check the sensor with a voltage meter. The right one put out power (jacked up wheel and spun it while volt meter connected) and right checked out fine. Left sensor (the one throwing the codes) showed no output. I explained my problem to the guys at O'rielly's and they told me they have had sensor not work in brand new hub assemblies before....so they told me they would warrenty it! So I have it swapped out and it is 1/2 way back together and will finish in am!!!!!!!
