Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Re: Just bought my "New Pull Rig"....
Nice! I just bought a new mower myself (well not really new, I bought a used one). I really wanted to buy a commercial grade ZTR mower, but with my job ending in November I decided that this was not the time for that. The price of one of those will pay my mortgage for 3 or 4 months.
So I picked up a lawn tractor instead - can't mow 6 acres with a push mower. I got a 2008 model Cub Cadet LT1050 with only 12 hours on it, freshly serviced, in almost new condition for about half the price of a new one. Has a 50" deck and a 22HP Kohler Courage engine.

Young, I'll put my son's John Deere up against your truck.
75HP diesel, weighs in at about 7000 lbs with the front loader and rear box scraper installed. 60" rear agricultural tires, calcium filled. Rear locker. 2WD. Low, low, low granny gear.

Nothing wrong with that! Except for people who are born and raised here who have a fake southern accent.

Re: Just bought my "New Pull Rig"....
I was born in PA, but moved to No' Car'lina when I was 6 and lived there until I was 35, so I earned the right to my suthern accent.
Actually there's a good explanation for the southern accents you will hear up in the Darrington area. That whole town is populated with descendants of loggers who moved here from NC about 75-80 years ago.

No, I'm talking about the PNW'ers (younger crowd) with HEAVY accents.
Oh, and I wasn't pointing your southern accent, didn't even really notice it. Don't cut my brake lines!

Re: Just bought my "New Pull Rig"....
You should hear my mom talk. She was 16 when she moved from Glasgow, Scotland to the US. Now 69, she has lived most of her adult life in the south.
She has a southern accent combined with a Scottish brogue.
It's actually a cool combination...

I'll have to find the video of an asian comedian with a very heavy southern accent!

Re: Just bought my "New Pull Rig"....
My best friend in high school was of Korean descent, but born and raised in NC. He had the most southern accent you ever heard.
Re: Just bought my "New Pull Rig"....
BTW, my accent is mostly gone, because I trained it out of myself when I was in college. But put me in a room full of southern good-ole boys, and it will come right back...
Re: Just bought my "New Pull Rig"....
Speaking of Korean southern accents. How about a Korean comedian!
