Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Our Jeep is out of commission too
Thought this might make Justin feel a little bit better about his Jeep situation... We mentioned this at the meeting last night, but I thought I would post a few pics to show the damage from.................the FIRE that took place in our garage last night!
We had just gotten home from a great week in Montana and then this had to happen!! Jon was putting stuff back in the garage (and some of my fresh deer meat, yay!) and was going to start the Jeep up for a quick check on something... Well, it didn't want to start at first and then in no time flames started shooting out from the engine... Fortunately, our fire extinguisher was near so he got it out quickly, however, it did leave potentially a lot of electrical work to fix and we'll be needing some paint for sure
One thing we are glad about is that it didn't catch the garage door above on fire, just left a nice black char mark. Could've been a lot worse but it still really sucks!!
The cause of it all was due to a valve that stuck open on the fuel rail. Before we left on our trip Jon had been checking the pressure at the fuel rail with a guage and the fuel rail valve ended up stuck open.......so of course gas gushed out as he started the engine and you know what happened next.
Here's a pic of our scorched hood......
Side damage:
Inside hood damage and lovely "snow covered" engine......
In fact, the whole garage pretty much became covered in a blanket of white
So we're hoping this won't take too long to get fixed, but at this point it's hard to say what all got toasted. To be continued.....

Yeah, the extinguisher chemicals were steam cleaned off the next morning. There are definitely some wires to replace, but the main engine harness looks to be okay, which was a big relief. We have a new fuel rail on order and some other various parts, but we're thinking it shouldn't be too bad... Do need to get some new paint at some point too

Not up and running yet, but getting closer... It's been a pain in the ass so far but hoping to finish up this week or the next...
