February RnL meeting
Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Looks like you guys had fun! Wish I could have been there...
Instead I've got bleeding knuckles, frozen toes, and a big bump on my forehead - all from wrenching on the Jeep...

Looks as though some snow driving lessons were needed, unless everyone was posing in the ditches
We had about 12" of snow down at Rieter, had a good day also, hooked up with a group from Bellingham (Rainier Rams) had a total of 15 rigs with us for awhile. Nothing really challenging, jus the same as you folks, putting around in the snow, and on the trails
Oh, by the way heard I-90 opened at 4AM this morning

I don't think anyone needed snow driving lessons. It was pretty slick compacted snow.

Yeah, you mentioned that there were a lot of rigs down that way. Were those full sizes I saw in the pics with you folks, or just part of the crowd that was out there?

They were a group we ran into on the way back down. 8000lbs diesel trucks with street tires!

I'm glad I stayed home. Looks like every other snow run, a big cluster-f%$k! Oh, and by the way, this is the first run I've EVER missed in case anyone had any smart-ass comments to make.

Tieter Snow run
Justin hope your not starting a trend yeah I'd like to have been able to watch UFC, wasn't surprised that Lesnar tapped out, technique, over power everytime
One of the BEST folks posted up a short video from yesterdays snow run at Rieter, as you can tell there was lots of snow, challenged drivers as well...where did those anti-speed bumps come from
Found some excellent sled riding hills on the powerlines, all the tamer trails were pretty much empty,. All the BIG rigs were off on the more challenging trails

Generally I dislike snow trips but I had fun on this one and the wagon trail trip we took awhile back. There was plenty of entertainment with the snow boarding, snow plowing and tactical snowball use. I enjoyed all the recovery practice especially the ford, I should have the video ready in the next couple days.

I-90 was fun!
We ended up jeeping I-90. The only place we could park was exit 38, exits 42 & 47 WSDOT covered any access to the areas with packed snow. We took some back roads at exit 38. We were the only jeepers that day. 2 Snowmobiles passed us & a couple of snowshoers. We started with 4 rigs & then my cousin showed up for a total of 5 at the end of the day. The snow was perfect & fairly easy to jeep in, Chris & the bigger jeeps were breaking trail since there were no other tracks & I'd guess about 5 feet of snow. At the top the jeeps were pushing snow that was about up to the hood. I forgot my camera however, otherwise I'd post pics.

I thought I was the only one to ever be passed by snowshoers.jeeprimrock wrote:We ended up jeeping I-90.
