So I got a great deal on a complete set of 8 JKS adjustable control arms, from JayDub on ROF. He upgraded to the FT long arm kit. Saturday I bought a cheap angle finder at Lowes so I can dial these things in properly.

Hopefully this will fix the last little bit of Death Wobble I haven't been able to track down.

Can't wait to get these, and get them installed... Very Happy

Well I got the front done today. I'll do the rear next weekend, that way if there are any vibes, it will be easier to pinpoint which end they are coming from.

Here is a couple of pictures of my front pinion:

Does that look straight enough to you guys? It is within less than 1 degree according to the cheapo angle finder I bought at Lowes...

When I was on short arms I just did it by eye but now I think Im around 4-5deg. I dont think you'll have any problem though how does it drive?

Drives good, no vibes, and the last little bit of death wobble that was bugging me seems to be gone...

Bill, great job! Looks good. I like my leaf springs but your adjustment looks a lot easier than mine (cutting off and re-welding spring perches). Wink

Bill,
I just noticed that your driveline u-joints were the strap style. Any plans to change those to the u-bolt style? I understand that the strap style is the weaker of the two. I've read of two ways to change, drill through the existing yoke, and acquire u-bolts, or exchange for the u-bolt style

I'm not sure if there's an issue for you on these, or with anyone else. Could be just reading to much Shocked

I've thought about it Zip. I've seen instructions on how to do it, and it doesn't look too bad. For now I'm just carrying a spare pinion yoke and spare driveshaft.

Mine are changed to u-bolt style and I just bought 4 extra boxes of them for spares. The part # is 534-10 from Napa and that is for a pair of them. Only $5 each.
