Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:14 pm by Zip
Tuesday February 3rd at 7pm, at Ricardos restaurant in Factoria, unless someone comes up with another suggestion
Dues are up for 2015
Take a look at your calendars for this summer to discuss an out of state run this summer. Also for when and where'd you like to go?

Good luck Zip. Do you have any limitations afterwards, such as driving a Jeep?

Re: Thinking of you...ZIP!
Hi,
Just a quick note to let you know that Lealon's surgery went very well. It was much more complicated than originally thought as there was a lot of diseased tissue that needed to be removed. The doctor thought this might be the case but he was a bit surprised at the severity once he had the hand opened up. Lealon was on the table for over 2 hours!
He is resting comfortably and so far there have been no post surgery complications (ie; fever, abnormal swelling, bleeding etc.).
Life is good. At this rate he should have a full recovery although we don't know how "quickly" that will happen yet due to the extent of tissue removal. We'll see the doctor Tuesday.

Re: Thinking of you...ZIP!
Well we went to the doctor's office today and observed the unveiling of "the hand". Yowser...........what a sight but, it looked good. The flaps are holding and there is no infection, no puss or inflammation and Dr. was pleased. Seems to be very little nerve damage at this point though it's too early to be certain about that. The disease had progressed to quite an extreme extent. There are well over 150 stitches in his hand.
We were both kicking ourselves for not taking a picture after the bandages were removed. We were just too engrossed in what Dr. was doing and how the hand looked.
The doctor performed an excellent surgery, took his time and it showed . He obviously is a skilled specialist and very good at what he does. His pride in his work is evident and we are very grateful. We made a good choice.
If everything goes well from here on Lealon should be close to 100% when he finishes PT.
We will be sure to get a picture next time when the stitches are removed. View it, don't view it, the choice will be yours.
For tonight Lealon is drugged up as the procedure today was very painful but I'll bet he's looking forward to his wife showering with him again tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone for all your concern and well wishes. God Bless you all.
