I was looking around other forums for information on these FOTR workparties and it doesn't sound like the trails are closed, just that you have to be patient cause you may be slowed down in parts where they happen to be working.
It was specifically mentioned and answered in this thread, 4th post down:
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=790578 [url=http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=790578]
Also other threads from past work parties mention other groups being on the trial at the same time and past work party pictures look more like a BBQ then a work party.
I think we should be good.

I still haven't heard back from the email I sent, but I think you are right...we should be good. Thanks for checking out those threads also.
Should we go ahead with our plans for August then, everyone?

I got a message from Paul (sizemic on ROF), who is planning to go with us on this run. He was wondering what the plan is as far as camping, trailhead, leaving trailers, etc.
Robb's Resort is out of business, so that is no longer an option for us.
So what is the plan? Any ideas?

Icehouse resort. Leave the trailers there, and camp when not on the trail. They have a store, gas, and a bar right in the campground. You drive to the trailhead straight from there on a backroad.

The plan is still to arrive Sat. August 22nd and run the trail in 3 days, the 23rd thru 25th. Jess and I will probably head back home the 26th.
Looks like we are going to stay at Icehouse Resort the night of Aug. 22nd. I can call them to make a reservation but I need to know who is thinking of making it so that I can tell them how many to expect. Hoping that they can just get us a big group campsite. At this point, I think the following people have stated they are coming...(everyone let me know if this list is accurate or if I need to make any additions or changes):
-Jon/Jess
-Bill/Robin
-Justin/Stef
-Haywood
-Chris
-Young
-Jim
-Paul (from ROF)
-Scott
-Jesse
-Rubirock
-Zip
