Re: Rubicon Trail Itinerary 8/21 - 8/26
Decided to stop in Grants Pass and get a room. Jeep did awesome, I am not all that tired, could probably push it into Cali but really I don't need to.
I was planning on getting 150 miles per tank and budgeted fuel with those numbers but I am getting 220+ which is numbers I haven't gotten since before it was lifted. Since I can't get a speedo correction I am using my GPS to figure out how off my speed/odo is and really they aren't off all that much, of course it changes the longer I drive.
Anyways, getting up early and heading into cali, probably stay one more night in a hotel somewhere in cali.
Drive safe everyone!!

We're a couple of hours behind you in Salem. Meeting up with Jon and Jess in the morning to caravan the rest of the way with them.
Nice Holiday Inn Express, last night with a shower for a while...

Home.
Stopped a couple times for sleep at rest stops, ran into Bill and Robyn at one. The last 100 miles always goes sooooo slow.
Good trip, no major breakage and everyone safe as far as I know. Part of the group continued on to Fordyce so I don't know their status yet.
Going to get some proper sleep and a bath.

Nice meeting and wheeling with you all!
Great trail and great people, thanks again for inviting me.
I hope everyone has or will make it back relatively unscathed

Glad you made it back safe Paul and Jim, we're home too, and the Jeep is already fixed! Thanks to Jon who came by this evening and helped me bleed the brakes after installing the new hard line.
It was an awesome trip! Pics to come later...
