Climbing into the Jeep; Jess mentioned that the camp exit looked a little rough and she suggested that maybe she should perform the tricky manuever but Jon, not wanting to be shown up, took the wheel and soon learned the error of his ways.
To his credit, Jon was able to perform the slightly less difficult task of pulling into the campsite but he just wasn't quite ready for the advanced line of exiting.
As usual, Jess was very gracious in supporting Jon thru this trail.

I broke a brake line.
I think that was the only carnage on the trip.

Yeah lost all brakes, but I was on level ground coasting to a stop when it happened. The line was rubbing on a bolt and eventually wore a pinhole through it, at which point it started gushing fluid.
Thanks to Chris who had a cap fitting, we were able to cap that line off so that at least I had some brakes to get me off the trail. The brakes were really weak though, with one front not working. The Jeep is geared so low that it would pull right through the brakes in 1st gear (I have an automatic).
