mama's new toy

Post  boknows on Fri Jun 05, 2009 12:01 pm

So we decided one jeep was not enough for the family. Trying hard not to bite the bullet on a traditional grocery getter so we ended up on an 09 jeep Rubi, fully loaded. Drove it up to Seattle yesterday, man, can't believe it's a jeep.

Will be keeping this one a little more tame....at least for a while Twisted Evil Small lift and 33's, set up mostly for expedition travel towing our trailer and able to play a little at the destination.

Very nice! I had to reread just to make sure you didn't get rid of your other Jeep!

From what I've heard, you can fit 33's with stock suspension. With a 3" lift (or 2" plus 1" BL) you can fit 35's...

stealership woes

Post  boknows on Sat Jun 06, 2009 9:56 am

yeah, that's what I hear on suspension. it is very well built and the Mygig navigation is pretty nice. Almost too nice for a jeep. About to go to stealership and raise hell. I test drove this same jeep lifted with 35's over a week ago and told them I didn't want a jeep for 40K just to have them put the lift and tires on it. They told me they had one in portland and to come back on saturday. Saturday rolls around and low they have the jeep. I buy it. Last night I took a dirt road through FT Lewis getting it all dusty. When I get out and open the tailgate I notice an the residue of where an "Olympic Offroad" sticker used to be on the window. they returned it to stock, lied about transferring it from portland and sold it to me as new instead of a demo, which it was for the owner's wife. WTF! Might have a new rubi by end of day. That or some sort of monetary compensation. damn I am pissed....more to follow

Nope, haven't sold mine, thought about it and then felt guilty like I had cheated on my wife or something. Just put an ORO Swayloc on it, which is pretty trick.

Now we got the his and hers thing going, is this domestication?

Now when you buy and upgrade for the TJ, you have to for the JK!
