Aftermarket Warranty
So I bought a 6 year/60,000 for my truck. I have a week left to cancel and get 100% back. Should I keep it? What does everyone think?

Re: Aftermarket Warranty
I bought the 3 year/36K mile one for my truck (which covers it until it hits 86K miles since it had 50K on it when I bought it). It cost about $2000, but I wanted the peace of mind. This was the first used vehicle I had bought in many years, and I needed it psychologically just to not go spend twice as much money on a brand new truck.
Haven't needed the warranty yet, but still have over half of it left. Knowing what I know now about the truck, and how dependable it has been so far, I'd probably skip it. But that is hindsight.
I'd say it depends on how comfortable you are with having it vs. not having it. One major repair bill like a tranny rebuild or anything that requires removal of the head will quickly exceed the cost of the warranty, but what are the odds of that? So basically it is an expensive insurance policy.
