Re: New tires
Yeah, I think I'm just going to do the single cut across the middle of each center tread block. A lot less cutting than the v cut like you did.

Re: New tires
Well the tires are mounted up on the WE rims with 2000 of the airsoft 0,12 gram BBs in each tire. Aired up to 20 psi.
And... death wobble
Found a couple of slightly loose bolts (track bar and both upper control arms were a little shy on torque but not really loose). Everything else looks good. After tightening the bolts, it doesn't go into full blown DW, but it does have a pretty solid wobble that starts at about 42, and is pretty much unstable by the time you hit 50. I was afraid to go any faster...

Re: New tires
Also, on my upper control arms, the bushing at the axle - I can get a little bit of motion there when I try to twist the arm. Is that normal, or are those bushings shot? They are the only bushings that don't get replaced when you replace the arms.

Re: New tires
How much is a little? Mine have a little move in them but not much, and its not super easy to wiggle them.

Re: New tires
It isn't easy to wiggle them, and the amount of wiggle is very small. But the lower arms won't budge when I do the same thing on them.

Re: New tires
Yikes! Did you push the tire around the little lip on the wheel before you put the beadlock ring on?

Yeah, if you don't do that, the ring won't seat all the way against the rim when you tighten the bolts down. It was pretty obvious when the tire was in the proper place - it kinda popped into place with a little prodding. My rings seated all the way flush to the rim when bolted down (18 ft-lbs).

Re: New tires
I also forgot that when my steering stabilizer went out, I got death wobble. Check for oil leaking out of it.

Re: New tires
Steering stabilizer was replaced about a year ago, and still looks good. No oil leaking.
I do have a lot of grease around my steering box, but I think that is because I over greased the fitting at the pitman arm and the excess grease went all over the place. Nothing is loose around there.

Re: New tires
Is 20 psi about right for these tires, or should I go higher?
