wsm04rubi wrote:Also this week I trimmed my flares to fit the 36" tires. Trimmed 1.5" off the front TJ flares and 2" off the rear Rubicon flares. They came out so good that when I had Robin come out to the garage to check out the Jeep she said "What's different?". She couldn't tell they were trimmed...
Nice! Can't wait to see the Jeep once everything is done!!

Ended up going with the Walker Evans so I'm copying Justin
Order is placed (from Northridge4x4), should have them in 3 or 4 weeks!
I think I'll paint my Jeep red now and buy some PSC fenders

OK, now we need to talk. First of all, did you get polished or unpolished? Did you get the beadlock ring any special color? And lastly, you should PM me how much you paid for them because I can usually talk David down quite a bit. Good choice on the wheels though, last set you'll ever have to buy.

Re: Beadlocks?
Unpolished rims, and plain unpolished rings. I am thinking about clear coating them with a satin finish clear just to keep them from oxidizing and making them easier to clean...

I got an email today saying they just got in a shipment of wheel castings so my replacement wheel should be here soon. Hopefully that means the same for you.

Re: Beadlocks?
Well some of my Walker Evans beadlocks got delivered today. The weather caused 3 of them to get stuck in Portland on Christmas Eve, but the 4th made it all the way to Everett, put on a truck for delivery, but not delivered due to snow. The three that were stuck in Portland got delivered today. The 4th is still sitting in Everett in an exception status waiting for the weather to be good enough to deliver. Hmmm, it was good enough to deliver three of them...
Oh well, the snow is finally melting, so the last one should be delivered soon. Time to get off my butt and get the tires dismounted from the old rims...
