Re: WHITEKNUCKLER!!!!
I should be down there on Saturday, I am going to hit up all the local dealerships to find a new streetbike. Making the move from young guy street bike to Old man cruiser.
How many of you have dirtbikes? I have been trying to stay away from them cause I don't need another hobby.

Dale and I are doing the supermoto thing. Probably the most fun I've ever had.

Thinking about the Honda CRF230L or the Yamaha XT250 Dual Sport... Mostly want something for offroad use but it also would be nice to be able to take it on the road once in awhile. Either of these seem to fit both categories pretty well. Although they are both more entry-level bikes, we figured they would be perfect for me to start on and get comfortable riding before going for more power

They look nice to me too - I need something just like it because I think another mid-life crisis is coming on....

Re: WHITEKNUCKLER!!!!
I went up to Evans Creek today on my bike with a group. We rode some single track with street tires! It was WAY too much work! Then I wiped out going 35mph cuz I hit a patch of snow and the front tire came out from under me! Rode for 10 hours, now its bed time.

Re: WHITEKNUCKLER!!!!
I think the Honda looks way cooler, and CRF's are cooler than XT's. Do they have a rear disc? It looks like they are pretty much the same but the honda has the styling and the model name. Yamaha's Xt's were always like Honda's XL's. If it's really a CRF you might have more maintenance but I think it's probably an XL with a CRF name.

Yes, I agree, I think the Honda looks better also and based on reviews I have been looking at, I am definitely thinking this is the route I will go... The Honda does in fact have a rear disc.

How much difference would that extra 26cc make on the Yamaha?

Re: WHITEKNUCKLER!!!!
Ugggh, I picked up my Yamaha Raider on Saturday, and Yamaha gave me another 15k line of credit.......I really don't need ANOTHER hobby, but I always wanted a dirtbike
this is the raider but not my color scheme, I got the Liquid Silver with the red outlined tribal paint job http://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorcycle-reviews/star-motorcycles/2009-star-raider-ar70728.html
I kept my Gixxer1K, thinking of turning it into a track bike.

Re: WHITEKNUCKLER!!!!
I went and sat on the KTM that I linked in the first post. Its a badass bike!!!! Kind of heavy for serious trail riding, but a nice bike.
