To those who went on the Naches Run this past weekend...you know I had issues with a "fixed" locker that didnt work. Well I went back to Kent 4WD today, where it was fixed in the first place for $311 (New compressor tank, relocation of compressor) and they looked at it free of charge. There ended up being a hole in an air line. WELL, now there is a leak somewhere in the carrier, and they suggested that they tear it open and it could cost a minimum of $300 (parts, labor...) but could ...

Zip in 3 wheel drive

Knuckler hill climbing

Were going to the top...not.

Working hard to get up the hill just before turning around

We met a group of 19 rigs on the way out and this guy was trying to get off the trail. It was a slow motion roll over.

I've been jeepin on and off for the last 12 years or so and would like to expand beyond my regular circle of jeeping friends. My current rig is an old flatty that my buddy built from just about scratch. It has all the usual goodies and lot of iron in it.
The snow was pounding down most of the day

The snow was getting thick on the 520 trail

Someones Toyota taking a nap

Took about 45 min to upright. He drove up the right edge of the trail. We had to winch him sideways before we could pull him over.

A picture just before starting up the 519 trail.

Sometimes it was tough to see where we were going.

I did it with my harbor freight u-joint press. The problem was it just pressed the rubber and inner sleeve out, leaving the outer steel sleeve behind. Getting that out was the pain. I finally found a piece of steel pipe that was almost the right diameter, did a bit of grinding to ...

Do any of you guys who've done tummy tucks on an 03-06 TJ still have the stock skid lying around your garage? I'm looking for one as a temporary replacement for mine, since it has been bashed up pretty bad in the middle. Need one in decent shape, needs to be dirt cheap since I'm planning to eventually do a tummy tuck and this is just a temporary fix...

Well I got the driver side done this weekend. Wow what a huge pain-in-the-butt to get the old bushing out (the one that is in an ear on top of the diff housing). Beat on that thing for 4 hours before it finally popped out. Had to basically crush it in all the way around to get it to break loose. Replaced it with a currie johnny joint. The johnny joint went in very easily (it comes with a guide that you put over it and beat on it - took about 50 good solid whacks to drive it right into place). ...

This is what the jeep looked like after a day of pouring rain.

Did the 311, 520, 196, 197 and 102.

As we started on the 196 trail we ran into a small group with a woman who had just bought a TJ on Thursday, put a 4" lift on Friday(open diff's front and back) and was wheeling on Saturday.

She made it through the entire 197 trail in the pouring rain without any assistance.

We also ran leaning tree 641,642, went sliding down 640 after topping the ridge at blue lake.

It's tough to stop going downhill with 1" or 2" of mud packed in the tread. Thank goodness for trail ruts.

Hey guys and gals, I had a great time on the Rubicon with all of you. Looking forward to getting my 4runner done and hitting the trail with you guys. I now have to look into a photobucket account so i can get my pics of the trip up. Well a little about me. I'm building a 4runner on 38's, dual t-cases and locked front and rear. I'm married and have two daughters and two dogs. I've had 2 cj5's , cj8, sammi, and the 4runner. That is about it. Take care.........Shooey
